Ingredients
  • 12 ounces fresh (or frozen) cranberries
  • 3/4 cup water omit if using boozy recipe
  • 3/4 cup port wine (optional) for boozy recipe
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 medium orange juice and zest (chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
  1. In a medium sauce pan add fresh cranberries, water OR port wine, brown sugar, the juice and zest of one orange, cloves and salt and place over high heat.
  2. Stir ingredients together completely and bring to a full boil. Once boiling reduce temperature slightly to a medium-high heat and continue to boil for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  3. After 10 minutes, remove from heat and set aside to let cool in sauce pan. Once cooled, place into an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use. May be made a few days ahead of time.
